Carlo Ancelotti is the second coach to win the European Cup three times after Bob Paisley who led Liverpool to glory in 1977, 1978 and 1981.
Carlo Ancelotti has become one of three men who have won the UEFA Champions League as a coach after lifting the European Cup as a player. However, Ancelotti is now the most decorated, with five winner’s medals combined. (Frank Rijkaard has four and Josep Guardiola three).
With Ancelotti’s triumph in Lisbon, Italy becomes the first country to provide two imported UEFA Champions League-winning coaches
Carletto won the title as a player with AC Milan in the 1989 and 1990 seasons. He also won as a coach with Milan in 2003 and 2007. And finally, achieved La Décima with Real Madrid in 2014.
